Retriever Training Programs
Waterdog Specialties offers three different types of retriever training programs:
Waterdog Specialties offers limited space for the in house retriever training program. We train all retriever breeds for both waterfowl and upland hunting. Dogs stay at our kennel on a monthly basis. Our retriever training programs are individually tailored to meet each dog and handler's needs.
Retriever Training Group Classes
We enjoy working in a class setting for upland and waterfowl training, with the owners handling their own dogs. We strongly urge the owner/handler training classes as a way to build a strong "teamwork" bond between dog and hunter.
Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Classes retriever training classes are available.
The classes are limited to six dogs per class. It is a six week training session, each session lasting about 2 hours.
Retriever Training Private Classes
We offer one on one private instruction on an hourly basis. We can work on specifics geared toward your dog. Whether it be problem solving or specific training, we can accommodate your needs.
