Our quality Labrador Retriever breeding kennel is located on 64 beautiful acres in Waukesha, Wisconsin. In addition to our property, we utilize 725 acres, including 6 ponds, at Wern Valley Game Farm, located 3 miles from our property.
Doug began training his own Labrador retrievers for hunting and field trials in 1973. What started as a hobby became a passion and friends began asking him to train their retriever hunting dogs. So, in 1981 Doug began training retrievers professionally.
Hunting is our passion. We thoroughly enjoy pheasant hunting and living only 3 miles from the local game farm gives us plenty of opportunities to give all of our dogs the chance to find a few birds. We chase wild birds in both North and South Dakota and hunt geese, ducks and doves as well.
Outside of the hunting season we compete with our dogs in AKC and UKC hunt tests and have successfully titled dogs in all three levels of competition.
In addition, Doug is an AKC master hunt test judge.
